Lama Tashi Norbu Brings Tibetan Sacred Arts & Culture to Berkeley 

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA — November 19 to 28, 2026 — Internationally recognized Tibetan artist, musician, cultural preservationist, and spiritual teacher Lama Tashi Norbu will visit the San Francisco Bay Area this November, bringing his work in Tibetan sacred art, music, healing, and cultural preservation to the community.

Founder and Director of the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art (MoCTA) in the Netherlands—the only registered Tibetan museum in the world—Lama Tashi Norbu has dedicated his life to preserving, sharing, and evolving Tibetan sacred arts and culture for contemporary audiences.

His multidisciplinary artistic practice has taken him to some of the world’s most prominent cultural and artistic stages, including Carnegie Hall and Times Square in New York City, Art Basel, Art With Me, and events connected to Bit Basel. His artwork has also reached beyond Earth: one of his artworks embedded in a microchip is scheduled to travel to the Moon in June 2026.

A Global Artist Rooted in Tibetan Sacred Tradition

Lama Tashi Norbu’s work bridges ancient Tibetan spiritual traditions with contemporary art, music, and performance.

His monumental reclaimed-wood sculptures, some reaching 17 feet in scale, have been exhibited in locations including Chicago’s Grant Park, New York, California, and currently at Art Park in Tulum, Mexico.

As a musician and mantra performer, Lama Tashi has collaborated with internationally known artists including Scott Page of Pink Floyd, Myron McKinley of Earth, Wind & Fire, Taylor Dayne, Bobby McFerrin, and Paul Pesco.

His performances transform traditional Tibetan mantras into immersive experiences that connect sound, meditation, art, and collective consciousness.
